NFL 2020 New York lost amazingly to the Raiders
QThere are four regular season games left for the vast majority of NFL teams. While some think about the Playoffs, others already have their sights on 2021 because things have not turned out, the first on this list being the New York Jets, who are still without victory this season.
They had their best chance Sunday at home against the Raiders, when they were leading 28-24 with less than a minute to play, but an incredible decision by defensive coordinator Gregg Williams cost them their job.
The Jets had enough options to win it. With less than 2 minutes to play, they stopped the Raiders at 4 & 3 in the red zone. A first and ten of their offense gave them the game, but they had a three and out to give Las Vegas one last chance with 40 seconds from the 39-yard line. They quickly reached rival territory and with 19 seconds, Derek Carr almost found Nelson Agholor in the end zone, but it flew to the receiver for a couple of yards.
One would think that this play would be alert to take care of a ‘Ave Mara’, but Williams had other plans. With 13 seconds, the Jets sent seven players charging and gave individual coverage to the four Raiders receivers. Rookie Henry Ruggs, an extreme sprinter, sped up to his mark and posted the winning TD.

Williams, who at the time was charged with awarding players for injuring opponents with the Saints, it is characterized by sending many loads (In 2020 only seven teams send 5 or more in search of the QB than 34.8% of New York), but at this time It was the worst decision and the critics and memes did not wait.
“It’s the dumbest call I’ve ever seen. I’ve been around the game for 58 years, 30 as a coach. It’s the stupidest phone call ever. There is a time and a place to send Cover-0 and this is definitely not it. It’s just stupid “stated Rex Ryan, an ESPN analyst and former Jets coach.
ESPN’s NFL Live analyst Mina Kimes posted a picture showing drew a war tank as a ‘strategy’ to cover all the space around the Jets’ perimeter.
some people here are confused by the Jets coverage there–I diagrammed it to make it a little clearer, hope this helps pic.twitter.com/itfmbFT4Lu

Williams did not survive this mistake. On Monday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that he had been fired as defensive coordinator.
But perhaps this mistake will end up being positive in the long run. The Jets are the 11th team since the union of the NFL and the AFL in 1970 that begins the season 0-12. This would aim for the first draft pick, but the Jaguars de Jacksonville from 1-11, with 11 losses in a row. The race for the first overall pick will be fierce because there’s a grand prize for the worst team, a franchise quarterback of the most anticipated, such as John Elway, Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck were at the time: Trevor Lawrence de Clemson.
