NFL Semana 17 What each team needs to make the postseason
QThere is only one week left in the NFL regular season, and four of the postseason guests are already known to the National Conference. Green Bay, Seattle and New Orleans have already won their divisions, while Tampa Bay secured a wild card ticket.
So there are three teams left fighting for two wild card spots, while three teams fight for the East Division title. We go over what each team needs, barring combinations of too many draws, and the various positions they could be in heading into the postseason.
- Green Bay Packers (12-3, NFC North champion)
- New Orleans Saints (11-4, champion NFC South)
- Seattle Seahawks (11-4, NFC West camepeon)
- Washington Football Team (6-9, líder NFC Este)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-5, secured wild card)
- Los Angeles Rams (9-6)
- Chicago Bears (8-7)
- Arizona Cardinals (8-7)
Alive in the NFC East: Dallas Cowboys (6-9) and NY Giants (5-10)
They would be # 1 if: they win in Chicago, no matter what Seattle and New Orleans do.
Still losing to the Bears, they would be # 1 if Seattle loses to the 49ersNo matter what New Orleans does.
They would be # 2 if: they lose to Chicago AND Seattle wins in San Francisco AND Carolina beats New Orleans.
They would be # 3 if: they lose to Chicago And if Seattle beats San Francisco AND New Orleans wins in Carolina.
They would be # 1 if: if they beat Carolina AND Green Bay loses in Chicago AND Seattle wins in San Francisco
They would be # 2 if: five combinations (1) Seahaws, Packers and Saints win, (2) Seahaws, Packers and Saints lose, (3) Packers win AND Saints lose AND Seahawks lose, (4) Seahawjs win AND Saints lose AND Packers lose (5) Packers win And both the Seahawks and the Saints lose.
They would be # 3 if: two scenarios: (1) if Packers AND Seahawks win AND Saints lose, or (2) Seahawks win AND both Saints and Packers lose
They would be # 1 if: win in San Francisco AND Saints lose in Carolina AND Packers lose in Chicago. It is the only combination that works for them.
They would be # 2 if: if they win in San Francisco AND only one of the Packers and Saints win.
They would be # 3 if: lose, or if both Seahawks and Saints and Packers win.
They will be # 5 if: beat Arizona and Tampa Bay lose to Atlanta
They will be # 6 if: beat Arizona and Tampa Bay beat Atlanta
They will be # 7 if: lose to Arizona and Chicago lose to Green Bay
They are eliminated if: lose to Arizona and Chicago beats Green Bay
They will be # 6 if: If they beat Green Bay and Arizona beat the Rams
They will be # 7 if: They beat Green Bay and the Rams beat Arizona
They are eliminated if: lose to Green Bay and Arizona beats Rams
They will be # 6 if: beat the Rams and Chicago loses to Green Bay
They will be # 7 if: They beat the Rams and Chicago beat Green Bay
They are eliminated if: lose
The Bucs have already secured a spot in the playoffs. They can’t win their division because they lost both games to the Saints, so they’ll be a wild card. anyway.
They will be # 5: if they beat Atlanta, or if the Rams don’t win.
They will be # 6: If they lose to Atlanta and the Rams beat Arizona.
Washington is the team that controls your destiny. If they win, they are inside. If they tie, they need the Cowboys and Giants to tie.
In case of losing, they are out regardless of combinations.
Dallas needs beat the Giants in New York and Washington lose Sunday night in Philadelphia.
There is another alternative for Dallas: tie the Giants and the WFT lose to the Eagles.
The Giants arrive as third, but with a win over Dallas and if Washington loses to the Eagles, they advance.
