MEXICO CITY, Jan 26 (Reuters) – Colombian striker Juan Otero became a player for America on Wednesday, where he will stay for three years after leaving Santos Laguna.
The 26-year-old arrived in Mexico in 2021 with Santos Laguna’s “Guerreros”, where he scored four goals in 45 games played.
“Welcome Juan Otero! El Nido awaits you,” Club América published on its official Twitter account along with a photograph of the player.
Thus, Otero joins the Chilean Diego Valdés, the Spanish Jorge Meré, and the Mexicans Alejandro Zendejas and Jonathan dos Santos as the reinforcements of the “Eagles” of America.
Otero began his career in 2015 with the Fortaleza club in Colombia, two years later he moved to Estudiantes de La Plata in Argentina, and in 2018 he went to Europe to play with the Amiens club in France.
