Bruce Arians clears up alleged beef between him and Tom Brady

March 31, 2022

Rumors have swirled stating Tom Brady and Bruce Arians had a terrible relationship but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Bruce Arians decided to step down as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then there’s been plenty of speculation that a strained relationship with Tom Brady led to this decision.

That’s not the case whatsoever, Arians said. While meeting with reporters, he cleared the air on his relationship with Brady. Brady himself was on hand to see his former head coach off.

Bruce Arians and Tom Brady had a strong relationship

Arians didn’t hide the fact that he’d get in Brady’s face from time to time and call him out either in practice or during a game. It wasn’t Arians picking on Brady, however, as he did this with all of his players to try and bring out the best in them.

If Brady really had such a strong issue with Arians, there’s no way he would have been present at the press conference on Thursday. The two helped the Bucs win the Super Bowl last season. The team was hoping to go back-to-back this year, but they lost in the playoffs to the LA Rams. LA went on to win it all.

Brady retired in early February, but that retirement lasted less than two months. Brady will be back on the field for Tampa Bay in 2022. Now, he’ll have Todd Bowles as his head coach instead of Arians.

With Brady running the offense, Tampa Bay will always be in contention to potentially win the Super Bowl. Arians may no longer be on the sidelines, but he’s now moving to a front office role. He’ll be ready to support Brady and the rest of the team from start to finish this campaign.
